I am aware that this isn’t going to happen overnight. I can’t just quit cold turkey. Plus I have to learn a whole new way of cooking and preparing food. This fact I learned the hard way after trying a few different vegan recipes that were barely edible. I couldn’t figure out why my food didn’t taste as good as Kim’s. Thankfully there is SPORK, online vegan cooking classes.
So I don’t feel overwhelmed, it can only start by making small changes. A while ago I began to switch out 2% milk with almond milk. That was no biggie, I don’t miss the whole milk.
My friend suggested just trying to switch out a couple meals a week at first. As the meat and dairy disappear from my refrigerator I will try to replace it with a protein I know will work in a recipe.
